今回は甘露寺蜜璃について。
恋柱・甘露寺蜜璃
鬼殺隊のトップ階級「柱」のうちの1人であり、恋の呼吸の使い手。元々は「恋」という感情や概念を表す言葉故に、何の呼吸から派生した流派であるかが不明でしたが、後に作外にて炎から派生したことが明かされました。
炎柱である煉獄杏寿郎を師に持つことや、「炎」も「恋」も燃え上がるものという共通項からも、
恋が炎から派生するのは意外と納得がいくところ。
その肉体は一見華奢に見えるものの、常人の8倍の筋肉量を備えているという特異体質。
その怪力っぷりや、必要なエネルギーを補給するための食事量の多さ、派手な髪色から一般男性に怪物かのように扱われフラれた過去を持ちます。
その後は自分を偽り、非力な慎ましい女性として暮らしていたものの、
そんな生き方に疑問を覚え、「ありのままの自分で人の役に立ちたい」と鬼殺隊に入隊。
半天狗戦や無惨戦でも、その強い想いから仲間たちを大きくサポートする役割を担いました。
伊黒小芭内との繋がり
また、入隊したのは「添い遂げるための殿方を探している」という目的もあるようで、
作中では伊黒をはじめ義勇やしのぶに対して性別問わず「かっこいい」「素敵」と漏らすなど、
「恋柱」の名に偽りのない惚れっぷりを見せています。
義勇やしのぶに対しての心情吐露は憧れや羨望、率直な感想が大きいようですが、
伊黒小芭内に対しては恋愛感情を抱いている様子。
伊黒とは文通をする仲であり、また彼に想いを伝えた後は来世で一つになることを約束しています。
偏見により素の自分が存在してはいけないかのように振る舞っていた過去を抱きながらも、鬱々とした様子を見せない点も特徴。
炭治郎のように快活に過ごしている様子から
作中でも屈指の癒しキャラとして支持を集めるキャラであり、
実際伊黒はその点を挙げ「明るいキミに多くの人が救われた」としています。
男性から偏見を受け振られた甘露寺と、女性に対して恐怖心を抱く伊黒。
また、いずれも「自らの存在」について共通する想いを抱いていた過去があります。
同じコンプレックスを抱いていたからこそ相手の境遇に共感し、より関係を深めることができたのかもしれません。
