清子について
清子とは、幕臣である摂津親鑑の娘であり、時行と将来を共にしようと画策する女の子。
多くの人物が尊敬する足利高氏を「足利なんか」と評したり、
逃げ腰の時行に対して発破をかけるなど、
気が強い性格が特徴。

- 時行が将来、尊氏に対して命令を下す立場になること
- お飾りの王でも贅沢な暮らしができること
- 時行の才覚の無さや優しさを持ち合わせていること
これらを把握したうえで嫁ぎ先として選択するなど、現実的な状況判断能力と洞察力を持つ。
そんな冷静な娘の姿に、父である親鑑も思わずたじたじになっている様子が描かれている。
表情豊かでコミカルなキャラ造形故に、彼女に好感を抱いた方は多いのではないだろうか。私もその1人。
また、周囲は時行の短所に目がいく中、彼の長所にいち早く気づいていた登場人物でもある。
もし彼女が生きて時行の仲間になっていれば、その気の強さと行動力で時行を律しつつ、彼を励ます役割を担っていたかもしれない。
